P. Ant. 2 54; van Haelst 347: Miniature codex containing part of the Paternoster (Matthew 6:9-13) This small folded sheet (5.2 x 4 cm) is the inner double leaf of a miniature codex of Matthew’s version of the Paternoster. It begins in the middle of verse 10 and is unfinished, breaking off in the middle of a word in verse 12 (ὀφειλήμ[ατα]) and leaving the final page empty. At 33 letters per page, this sheet would have been preceded by another double leaf containing two pages of Matthew 6:9-10, and presumably two further empty pages. For this section to have fit two pages, the author may have possibly omitted ὁ ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς in verse 9. The codex form is indicated by slits for connecting thread at the top and bottom middle of the sheet. It was possibly used as an amulet (see Jones 2016), or as a «toy booklet» for a child. Verse 10 includes the variant ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.",
