Roca 4 95: Letter from Andreas and Herakleides to Dioskoros\u00a0These two fragments (12.2 x 7.2 cm and 12.4 x 10 cm) form part of a single letter, possibly from Syria, concerning churches. They can be arranged next to each other, with a vertical gap between the two text parts. Andreas and Herakleides write Dioskoros, whom they address as \u03ba\u03c5\u03c1\u03af\u03c9\u03b9 \u03c0[\u03bf\u03b8\u03b5\u03b9\u03bd\u03bf\u03c4\u03ac\u03c4\u1ff3] [\u1f00\u03b4]\u03b5\u03bb\u03c6\u1ff6\u03b9 (line 1). The letter mentions \u03c4\u1ff6\u03bd \u03ba\u03b1\u03c4\u1f70 \u03a3\u03c5\u03c1\u03af\u03b1\u03c2 \u1f10\u03ba\u03ba\u03bb\u03b7\u03c3\u03b9\u1ff6\u03bd (\u201cchurches distributed across Syria\u201d, line 5), \u03c4\u03bf\u1fe6 \u03c0\u03b1\u03bd\u03b5\u03c5\u03c6\u03ae\u03bc\u03bf\u03c5 \u03c0\u03b1\u03c4\u03c1\u1f78\u03c2 (line 6), a teacher (\u03b4\u03b9\u03b4[\u03b1\u03c3\u03ba\u03ac\u03bb\u03bf]\u03c5, line 7) \u039a\u03b1\u03bb\u03bb\u03b9\u03cc\u03c0\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2 and the term \u03b8\u03b5\u1ff7 (line 7). Kalliopios is a name not often attested in papyri from Egypt. Before breaking off, the writers speak of peaceful (individuals?), \u03b5\u1f30\u03c1\u03b7\u03bd\u03b9\u03ba\u03bf\u1fd6\u03c2, with whom they intend to do receive \u03c4\u1f70\u03c2 \u03c0\u03b1\u03c1\u1f70 \u03c4\u03bf\u1fe6 \u039a\u03c1\u03b5\u03af\u03c4\u03c4\u03bf\u03bd\u03bf\u03c2 \u03b4\u03c9\u03c1\u03b5\u1f70\u03c2 (\u201cthe gifts of the Almighty\u201d, line 10-11).
