Barys states that he is writing this letter instead of coming to visit Diogenes and disturbing him. He requests that a certain Horus, about whom Diogenes and a Pathermouthis had previously spoken, be allowed to delay his liturgy by 4 months. Horus is described as being of limited means and responsible for a plot of land for a Serenianus, which he is planning to leave to fulfill the liturgy in the month of Hathyr.
