They are from the village Syron and stand surety for Aurelius Apollos, described as a \u03c0\u03c1\u03b5\u03c3\u03b2\u03cd\u03c4\u03b5\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2 \u03c4\u1fc6\u03c2 [\u03b1]\u1f50\u03c4\u1fc6\u03c2 \u03ba\u03ce\u03bc\u03b7\u03c2 (line 8), which could indicate either a village elder or a Christian priest. They swear by \u03c4\u1ff7 \u03b8\u03b5\u03af\u1ff3 \u1f45\u03c1\u03ba\u1ff3 (line 15). The letter is dated to the consulate of Flavius Taurus and Flavius Eusebius, which the ed.pr. assumes could indicate the year 361 CE, when Julian acceded to sole Emperor.",
