He sends well-wishes with the phrase \u03b5\u1f54\u03c7\u03bf\u03bc\u03b1\u03b9 \u03c4\u1fc7 \u03b8[\u03b5]\u03af\u03b1 \u03c0\u03c1\u03bf\u03bd\u03bf\u03af\u1fb3 (line 3) and addresses his wife as \u03ba\u03c5\u03c1\u03af\u03b1 \u03bc\u03bf\u03c5 \u1f00\u03b4\u03b5\u03bb\u03c6\u03ae (line 5-6). Asking his wife to come get him together with her brother, because he cannot find a boat to travel back to Oxyrhynchus, he also directs her to Isaak, the \u03ba\u03bf\u03bb\u03bf\u03b2\u03cc\u03bd in case she is in need of money. A second hand has written the farewell. It still remains a matter of debate whether the family in question was Jewish or Christian, see Epp 2006 and Blumell 2012. Line 10-11, the mention of a \u201ccup of water\u201d (\u03c0\u03bf\u03c4\u03b7\u03c1\u03af\u03bf\u03c5 \u1f55\u03b4\u03b1\u03c4[\u03bf]\u03c2), is seen as an allusion to Mark 9:41.",
