The recipient, whose name is not legible, is addressed as τ\u1ff6ι κυρ\u03af\u1ff3 μου [\u1f00]δελφ\u1ff6ι (line 1) and \u1f66 φ\u03afλτατε (line 17). Following a long, rhetorical mirror simile for the friendship the two share (until line 19), Paulos asks him to receive the individuals bearing the present letter, since they are not κατηχο\u03cdμενο\u03af (line 26), but rather members of the group of Ision and Nikolaos. He points out the recipients’ affection πρ\u1f78ς το\u1f7aς \u1f21μετ\u03adρους \u1f00δελφο\u03cdς (line 24-25). Greetings are related from π\u03acντες ο\u1f31 \u1f10νθ\u03acδε \u1f00δελφο\u1f76 (line 29) to το\u1f7aς σ\u1f7aν σο\u1f76 π\u03acντας \u1f00δελφο\u1f7aς (line 30-31), which are made up of both \u1f10κλεκτο\u03cd[ς] and [κα]τηχ\u0323ουμ\u03adνους (line 31-32).
