                "description": "SB 14 12173: Letter from a son to his mother Moirous (?)\u00a0The relatively well-preserved letter (11 x 25.5 cm) begins with reporting the sender\u2019s daily \u03c0\u03c1\u03bf\u03c3\u03ba\u03cd\u03bd\u03b7\u03bc\u03b1, for his mother as well as his brother Aphreingios and sister-in-law Zenobia. The ed.pr. considered this to be the first securely Christian letter to use the \u03c0\u03c1\u03bf\u03c3\u03ba\u03cd\u03bd\u03b7\u03bc\u03b1 formula. Most of the letter\u2019s content is devoted to greetings to family members and other individuals: \u03c4[\u1f78]\u03bd \u03c5\u1f31\u03cc\u03bd \u03bc\u03bf\u03c5 Serapion, Silvanos, Apollonion \u03c4\u1f78\u03bd \u03b4[\u03b5\u03c3]\u03c0\u03cc\u03c4\u03b7\u03bd \u03bc\u03bf\u03c5, \u03c4\u1f74\u03bd [\u03b8\u03c5]\u03b3\u03b1\u03c4\u03ad\u03c1\u03b1\u03bd \u03bc\u03bf\u03c5 Mara and her sister, Demetria and her children, Apa Ganeis, the sister of Apynchis, Sake and Janes. These last two have been added along the left margin. \u1f21 \u1f00[\u03b4]\u03b5\u03bb\u03c6\u1f74 \u1f51\u03bc\u1ff6\u03bd Matrona sends her greetings.One sentence, directly addressed to the brother Aphreingios, regards fish sauce (\u03b3\u03ac\u03c1\u03bf\u03c2, line 14), anise and medicine (\u03c4\u1f70 \u03b8\u03b5\u03c1\u03b1\u03c0[\u2026], line 16) for the sender\u2019s son Heras, which Aphreingios is asked to send. The next informs him that the sender has been patiently waiting (\u03bc\u03b5\u03bc\u03b5\u03bd\u03ae\u03ba\u03b1\u03bc\u03b5\u03bd \u03ba\u03b1\u03c1\u03c4\u03b5\u03c1\u03bf\u1fe6\u03bd\u03c4\u03b5\u03c2, line 19\u201320) for the arrival of Zenobia and her brother, The verso addresses the letter to the house of Apa Kyri, son of Lolous, in Hierakeion (in Arsinoe).",
