                "description": "P.Herm. 5: Letter from Hermodoros to Theophanes\r\nHermodoros sends salutations and good wishes to Theophanes (maybe his brother in law), hoping to hear from him \"from the favour of the omnipotent God\" (παρ\u1f70 τ\u1fc6ς το\u1fe6 παντο|κρ\u03acτ\u0323[ορ]ο\u0323ς θεο\u1fe6 χ\u0323\u03acριτος), and informs him that his sons attend to their business and to their public services.\r\nThe similarity of hand and of Christian phraseology with P.Herm. 4 led Moscadi (1970: 133) to suggest that Hermodoros was one of \"all the brethren with us\" mentioned by John and Leon in P.Herm. 4, thus not unlikely a Christian too. Choat (2006: 92) notes that \"in the context of the archive, this places Christians within the family of Theophanes, part of a social circle which included several identifiable non-Christians\".\r\n \r\nRecto: literary hand using iota adscript, occasional punctuation, breathing and accents over ambiguous words (Turner 1987: 118; Fournet 2009: 35-36; Bagnall 2018: 80).
