The letter is simply asking for news from Aphrodisios in the context of his \"serious illness\" (l. 5-6), about which we are also informed in P.NagHamm. C 5. Daniel  expresses his relief about Aphrodisios' apparent recovery. Both sender and addressee are members of religious communities. Aphrodisios in particular seems to have held a leadership position, judging by the way he is addressed by Daniel. The letter was reused by Aphrodisios, who, despite his status, was much less literate than Daniel, to write a letter to Sansnos (P.NagHamm. C 5).",
