Description | P.Bodmer 21 + Codex Chester Beatty Ac 1389 Fragmentarily preserved codex containing once the Books of Joshua, Judith, and Tobit in Coptic (S); the copyist(s) seem(s) to have omitted Joshua XII–XXI and nothing of the book of Judith survived, despite its mention on the codex' opening page. The last preserved folio contains the end of Tobit (XIV:13–15) and its subscription title, the verso being blank. PAThs surmised therefore that the mention of the Book of Judith on the title page is an error for Tobit. A second hand continued on the last page of Joshua (Shore 1963: 10-11). Note that Orsini (2019: 56) prefers a date in the 5th cent. |
