Description

P. Kellis 1 87: Fever Amulet
The top and sides of the papyrus strip (2.5 x 17.3 cm) are cleanly cut, while the bottom was visibly ripped to size, making it unclear if the fragment is complete or not. In content probably copied from P. Kellis 1 85b, it contains a healing amulet for Pamouris born of Lo (probably the mother’s name). Mention of μεγάλου θεοῦ in line 4. Comparison with formula in P.Mich. III 155 (see Jordan 2001a).
