Description

P. Kellis 2 92: Amulet (?)
This damaged small papyrus bifolium (4.6 x 7.4 cm, a single page measuring 3.7 cm), is preserved in three fragments and contains a distinctly Manichaean hymn of praise. It contains multiple Manichaean terms and epithets, such as π(άτ)ερ ἀπόκρυφε (“hidden father”, lines 45, 51-52). πατέρ is abbreviated περ with a supralinear stroke.
Despite its page format, the text is complete and not presumed to have formed part of a larger codex. P. Kellis 2 91 shows similar content and use.
