Description	P.Oxy. I 122, P.Oxy. 1 122, P.Lond. III 768: Letter from Gaianos to the prefect Agenor In this damaged fragment of a letter (25.8 x 18 cm), Gaianos (who can be assumed to be of high rank in the military) writes to the ἐπάρχος Agenor. The latter had previously requested something for τῶν Κρονίων ἡμέραν (the day of Kronos), but Gaianos reports that he has not been able to catch a single animal, due to a lack of soldiers. He ends the letter with κύρίε μου ἀδελφέ (line 13). The verso contains the address.

Archaeological context	Found in al-Bahnasā (Oxyrhynchos) during the excavations of Bernard Grenfell and Arthur S. Hunt between 1896 and 1907. Papyri 739-834 (of which 738-814 were Oxyrhynchus papyri) were presented by the Egypt Exploration Fund in October 1900.
