P.Oxy. XII 1495, P.Oxy. 12 1495: Letter from Neilos to Apollonios 
In this letter (26 x 11.5 cm), Neilos writes his κυρίῳ ἀδελφῷ Apollonios (line 1, verso), and prays for his well-being τῷ κ(υρι)ῷ θ(ε)ῷ (line 4-5). Apollonios is asked to give Zakaon, the pastry-cook (πλακουντᾶς > πλακουντάριος or πλακουντοποιός, line 7) forty talents on Neilos’ account (εἰς λόγον μου, line 7). Neilos may have some troubles due to his ὀφ[ε]ίλεια (indebtedness, line 15). The verso contains the address. Nomina sacra: κω, θω

Palaeography; Zakaon, the pastry-cook (written as πλακουντᾶς) is also attested in P.Oxy. LXIV 4441 (column 6, line 10), dated to between 315 and 22 February 316 (see Blumell/Wayment 2015).
