Description

P.Oxy. XLVIII 3418, P.Oxy. 48 3418: Letter
Both sender and recipient of this letter (7 x 14 cm) are unknown due to the top of the sheet missing. The remaining visible 12 lines are the end of the letter. It has been assigned to the Archive of Papnouthis and Dorotheos, either of whose hand it could be written in. The writer promises to come to the city (presumably Oxyrhynchus) on the first of the month, God willing (Θεοῦ γὰρ θέλοντος, line 7). The verso is blank.
