Description

Gregory-Aland 0230, PSI 13 1306, van Haelst 523, van Haelst 1208: Fragment with the Pauline Epistle to the Ephesians
This narrow strip of parchment (13 x 2.5 cm) was part of a 2-column codex. The recto features Ephesians 6:5-6 in Latin, the verso Ephesians 6:11-12 in Greek, four lines on both sides. A complete column would have been ~13.2 cm wide, one column with the Greek, one column with the Latin on each page. This kind of bilingual codex is reminiscent of e.g., the Codex Claromontanus, which the Latin text resembles. Possibly part of the same codex as P. Aberdeen 1 (5th c.). Nomina sacra: χρι in the Latin text.
