Description

P.Oxy. LXXV 5020

Fragment containing the Book of Judith 6.16-17 and 7.1-2 written in a semi-documentary hand. The ed. pr. notes that there is no strict adherence to bilinearity, and that an apostrophe was added after ανηρ (recto, l. 7), probably by the same hand.

This fragment is one of three Late Antique attestations of the Book of Judith; see ed. pr. For the remaining attestations, see the van Haelst 79 (=TM 62087: 5/6 c. parchment fragment from Syria) and van Haelst 80 (=TM 61948: 3rd c. ostracon from Fayûm).
