Description

P.Kellis I 71: Business letter.

Letter sent by Pamouris to Psais. After usual greetings "in God" and wishes for good health,  Pamouris informs his correspondent that he stayed in Antinoopolis waiting for him to send letters and come over; he still expects his visit and asks for some commodities, news and a girl to be sent, probably to work there as a weaver.

Postscript in the left hand margin, addressed to "mother Maria" regarding threads of warp to give to Psais and exchange of commodities.

On the back, upwards along the fibres on the bottom half of what was the right hand side of the front, second postscript addressed to the same "Mother Maria"  (also called "Lady mother and sister") by another Maria, about some implements to put on a loom. Faint traces of the address along the fibres.
