Description

P.Kellis I 72: Letter from Pamouris to Pekysis.

After greetings and wishes for health "with God's grace" to all the family, Pamouris tries to understand why Pekysis did not come to visit nor did he send any news nor even one fleece and reproaches him for his carelessness towards his family. He asks him to buy purple, a linen cloth and some "nicely coloured wool". Postscript in the left-hand margin; end of the letter on the verso, with the address.

The writing on both sides of the sheet runs parallel with the fibres.
