DEChriM and the Centre for Digital Humanities of the University of Gothenburg are exploring a possible collaboration centred on the 4CARE database and its integration into the Pelagios Network. At the initiative of Johan Åhlfeldt, author of the Digital Atlas of the Roman Empire, our teams met for the first time in November 2019 and discussed a memorandum of understanding in view of a cooperation agreement involving both Johan Åhlfeldt and Jonathan Westin. We aim at collaborating on developing new methods and technical solutions for archaeological databases and gazetteers, and sharing their data with the Pelagios Network.
