I 19 [P.Kellis V 19] Personal letter from Makarios to Matheos in Coptic (L) encouraging the addressee to pursue his path of righteousness further as well as his studies (Study your psalms, whether Greek or Coptic every day…) and mentions further books to be read by him (Judgement of Peter, Apostolos, Great Prayers, Greek Psalms, Prostrations) and to write daily to train his skills, goes on to mention garments, turns then to other adressees, talking buisness, mentions a deacon who left and with whom he had strife daily, ends with greetings for several different persons, asks to be brought the great Book of Epistles or a smaller one containing the Prayer-Book and the Judgement of Peter; 89 lines on both sides with Greek address on verso, some loss in lower right |
