Personal letter wfrom Matthaios to his mother Maria starting with a prayer for her health, mentions that he sent some medicine for her with the letter given to two spritual fathers, goes on to narrate that his teacher left him in Antinoou where he still is and that the community mourns the loss of a venerated spiritual mother, expresses his updiscontent to have to ask again for the name of a child and ends with greeting many people, 75 lines in Coptic (L) incl. Greek formulae on both sides and Greek address on verso, some loss
