Description | SB XXVI 16716: Private letter. Sheet of papyrus preserving a letter from Hermes to his wife Kyrilla, with "greetings in the Lord" and prayers to the Lord for her health. The letter contains a request involving his whole family, the object of which remains unclear because of lacunas. Mention of the ekdikos. The letter ends with simple greetings. The writing is a fast cursive running along the fibres. The bottom part of the sheet is left blank. Verso: address, along the fibres. |
