| Description | P.Mich. VIII 520: Business letter Letter from Kollouthos to his "lord brother" Isidoros, complaining of the latter's failure to meet certain obligations connected with an agricultural enterprise. There is no Christian marker except for a chrism before the address on the verso (according to ed.). For a similar instance of a chrism on the verso, see P.Amh. II 147. Recto: Fluent cursive of medium size running along the fibres. The concluding formula was written by Kollouthos himself in a rapid careless script that has a pronounced upward slant to the right. Verso: the address was written by the person who wrote the body of the letter. |
