| Description | SEG LXII 1777: Transport of water and bread. Eight lines of a Greek graffito (20 x 19,5 cm) written by Horion neoteros, with an account of transport of water and bread from the village of Terkythis to the "mountain of Memnonia" during several days. According to the ed., this Horion neoteros is most likely the same as in I.Mon.Phoeb. 1 (and others): the location of the inscription, in a place overlooking the valley, suggests that the place may have served as a fallback base which would have been supplied by Hôriôn. Right under this graffito, another one (no. 3765) is mentioned by the ed. containing a list of 6 persons, possibly the companions of Horos. |
