Description | Inscription painted in red containing the presbyteral blessing "Peace to all!" (Εἰρήνη πᾶσι). The two parts of the dipinto flank a crux ansata, of which only part of the circle is now visible. Both the inscription and the ansate cross, as well as the upper decorative under-ceiling border of the room, were painted with the same colour and on the first coating of this room. As such, they belong to the initial decoration of the church of Dayr al-Baǧawāt. |
