Unearthed during the digging of the foundations for a mechanical cotton press factory, between the Bourse of Mīnā al-Baṣal (Cotton Stock Exchange) and the ruins of the old Church of Saint Athanasius erected by Pope Theonas (3rd c. CE), today the Attarine Mosque (al-ʿAṭṭārīn). |
