Description	P.Oxy. LVI 3860, P.Oxy. 56 3860: Letter from Taesis to Tiron In this letter (22.5 x 24.5) to her husband Tiron, who is ὀφφικιάλιος (officialis) of the dux, Taesis reports that so far neither Pamis nor Sabinianus have come to bring her goods that Tiron had promised. Time is of the essence, since in two months time, the canal from Oxyrhynchus to her village will be too low to navigate. She lists further transactions of money and goods she has had with multiple individuals. The verso contains the list of objects which Taesis requires from Tiron. The occurrence of a number of Latin names (including Taesis and Tiron’s son December) further indicate Tiron was in a military or civil service circle. In line 42, the scribe identifies himself as Alexandros. Line 2 contains the phrase τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ.
