Description | P.Oxy. XVII 2069; Ap29 Five fragments with apocalyptic and astronomical text (fr. 3v), P.Oxy. XVII 2069 containing the Book of Enoch 85.10-86.2 and 87.1-3. The fragments were originally thought to contain apocalyptic texts from different folios (see ed.pr.) or different codices (see Milik 1971: 329-341), but it has since been established that the fragments 1, 2 and 4 were written by the same scribe and that they belong to the same codex as fragments 3 and 5; see Chesnutt 2010: 485-505. Punctuation is indicated by blank spaces between words, rather than by point or colon, and there are no nomina sacra. |
