Description | P.Oxy. III 402; Gregory-Aland P9; Gregory-Aland 𝔓9; NT9 Fragment containing the First Epistle by John 4:11-17. The papyrus fragment measures 8 x 5.2 cm, and preserves 6 lines of text on the recto and 11 lines on the verso. The text is written in a clear, uncial hand, and contains diaereses as well as abbreviations in the form of nomina sacra or supralinear, horizontal strokes for line-final elements (l. 8 κα(ί) and 10 με(νεί) of the verso). The ed. pr. notes several curious corruptions, which indicate a particularly careless copyist. |
