Description

O.Kellis 117: Account of matia

Convex side: Account in two columns (at right angles to the throwing marks), with two Christian two names: Petros and Timotheos.

A Petros, monk, is known from P.Kell. IV 96: maybe the same as here (see Bagnall 1997: 69).

Concave side: 4 lines (the 4th faded and apparently corrected), probably not just a continuation of the text on the concave side. One Petros, son of (?) Belles, is mentioned here: the editor suggests the possibility that he is Paulos' brother from O.Kellis 79. See also the mention of "the sons of Belles" in O.Kellis 115.

Convex side inscribed at right angles to the throwing marks.
