Description | 𝔓7; Gregory-Aland P7; NT7; ε 11 (von Soden) Papyrus fragment containing Luke 4:1-3. The papyrus fragment (24.5 x 15.6 cm) preserves 18 lines of text. The upper part of the fragment preserves an unidentified text, possibly the end of a homily or a section of a commentary. This is followed by an excerpt from Luke 4:1-3. There is one low-point for punctuation (see l. 15) and several nomina sacra. |

Dating criteria | Palaeography. The ed. pr. mentions that C. R. Gregory, who had had the opportunity to study the fragment before its loss, placed the hand in the 4-6th c. Turner places it in the 5th c; see Turner 1977: 145 ("P7"), and it has been places as early as the 3rd c.; see date in CSNTM. |
