Archaeological context | Together with P.Bodmer 52, P.Bodmer 53 (blank), P.Bodmer 54, P.Bodmer 55 and P.Bodmer 56, the fragment was used for the front binding of P.Bodmer 23 (Coptic codex). The fragments were unglued and removed from the binding by a team at the British Museum between 1972 and 1977, in an effort to date and locate the origin of the Bodmer codices. |
