Description

O.Trim. 1 27; O.Amheida inv. 11117: Account
The fragment (10 x 5.9 cm) is inscribed on its convex side, mentioning a fountain at Pmoun Horou and several individuals: Ammonios son of Pebos, Komet(…), Pebok, Makarios (presbyteros in Pmoun) and Ammonios son of Ammonios. The ed.pr. states that the Christian name Μακάριος is common at Kellis (see also O.Trim. 1 325 and O.Trim. 2 532), and that the name indicates that presbyteros likely refers to a Christian priest rather than a village elder.
