PSI II 155

Papyrus fragment containing Christian prose; possibly a theological text.

The fragment measures 10 x 11 cm (according to the ed. pr.; PSI Online gives 11.8 x 11 cm), and preserves 10 lines of text (verso) arranged in one column. The recto (horizontal fibres) has one line of text consisting of the Christian cryptogram ΧΜΓ. Use of nomina sacra.

Correction of l. 6 in Fournet 2017: 420.

Palaeography. The ed. pr. places the fragment in the 4/5th c. but it was redated to 5th c. by Ronconi; see Ronconi 2002: no. 120 and Fournet 2017: 420 even suggests reassigning it to the 6/7th c.
