O.Douch V 581: Payment order (Abraam/Agathemeros)

Order issued by Abraam optio and addressed to the epimeletes Agathemeros, instructing him to distribute annona rations of bread to someone whose name is lost. Dated Epeiph, 10th indiction.

This order is part of a whole series of orders dated in the 9th or 10th indiction; all written in the same uncial clumsy hand. When specified, the beneficiaries are military men (see Wagner 2001: 34).
