Description | P.Vind.Sijp. 4 (= P.L.Bat. XI 4): Surety Contract of surety by Aur. Panechotes, son of Horos, priest, from the village of Senomorrho in the Hermopolites nome, to Aur. Asklepiades, praepositus pagi, according to which Panechotes offers sworn caution for Aur. Patos, son of Horos, komarch of the same village. Aur. Silbanos wrote for Panechotes who is illiterate. The document belongs to the archive of Asklepiades; a duplicate of the text is published in CPR XXIII 30. Cursive handwriting, running along the fibres. Verso: probably blank. |
