| Description | SB V 8699: Honorary inscription. Naos of the 26th dynasty form, with cartouches of Psamtek I and Shabaka, which has subsequently been turned on its side and re-used by Christians for an inscription of twelve lines; letters 3-5 cm high, well-cut (Milne 1905). The text contains a commemoration – placed under the goodwill of God pantokrator and Christ – of the building of a portico by a town councillor dedicated to the emperors at the occasion of the decennalia. Duplicate of SB X 10697. (exact same text, only the division of the lines changes). |
