Description

P.Oxy. XVII 2068

A collection of liturgical (?) fragments (two small fragments and one larger fragment) from a papyrus roll comprised of two or more columns of text; see ed. pr.

There occurrs an unusual nomen sacrum βς in l. 17 and 14 (contraction of βασιλεύς "king"), and the text is punctuated by mid-stops (l. 3 and 17, recto, col. i of fr. 1); see ed. pr.

The text is not obviously liturgical, yet it contains references to the Deuteronomy 6.2 (perhaps also to psalm 105(106).22) as well as scattered allusions to the Old Testament; see Blumell / Wayment 2015: 348.
