| Description | P.Oxy. IX 1168 Small fragment from a vellum codex containing Joshua 4:23-5:1. The codex is considered miniature, and placed in Turner's group 14 for parchment codices; see Turner 1977: 29. For punctuation, the folio has preserved high stops which were probably added later (the ink has a darker/different colour), and diaereses above word-initial upsilon and iota can be found in l. 8 (verso) as well as in l. 10 and 12 (recto); see ed. pr. The ed. pr. estimates that the folio measured approx. 15.5 cm tall originally with a loss of 11 preceding lines. The verso precedes the recto. |
