Description | I.Oasis p. 59-60 no. 1; SB XX 14843; SEG XXXVIII 1812 Dipinto painted in black. Height 5 cm.; width: 15 cm.; letters from 1 to 1,5 cm high. Three lines written by "Mouses, son of Pahermes, Latopolites". Wagner notes that it is the first mention of the soldiers of Latopolis, the Equites sagittari indigenae, in Kysis. They are already known in Mounesis, see I.Oasis p. 43, no. 66. The text is immediately followed by another one written in a different hand, see I.Oasis p. 60 no. 2. |
