Description

O.Douch V 630: Private letter from Elias and Plenis.

The letter is addressed by Elias to his lord brother --os (name is lost), asking to send to their brother Nabersai, dromedarius, commodities (wine, leeks, lettuces). Plenis sends greetings; Elias adds that he writes often to Herakleia and asks for a little salt.

Elias and Plenis are military men well attested, together in  O.Douch 381, where Elias is the beneficiary of a payment order signed by Fl. Plenis.
