Description

O.Douch V 634: Payment order

Issued by Daniel instructing his lord brother Asais to give their brother Isak son of Paknis, if he comes to him, 1,5 lithion of cotton. The end of the text is lost.

The name Daniel is quite rare in the Dūš texts; This Daniel is likely to be the same person as the one signing O.Waqfa 22, 7 and the intermediary in O.Douch 511, 11.

Asais – a name apparently only attested in 4th c. – is also present in O.Douch III 352, 5 and O.Douch V 516, 5.
